Meet Our Staff

Chester L. Stewart, CPA

Chet is a partner in the firm and has been since 1982 when he started the company as Chester L. Stewart & Company.  He graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelors degree in Accounting in 1961 and received his CPA certificate in 1965.  After working for a national CPA firm for 4 years, he joined a local firm in Muncie, IN where he became a partner.  He remained there until 1982, the year he started what is now Stewart, Peck & Hueston, LLP.

Chet has served on several local boards including the Anderson Banking Co., Chamber of Commerce, and the St. John’s Health System Board of Trustees, serving 7 years as the Board Chairman.  He has also been active in his profession, serving as President of the Muncie Chapter of the Indiana CPA Society, member of the Board and Secretary of the Indiana CPA Society, and was appointed by Governor Orr to serve on the State Board of Public Accountancy.

Richard B. Peck, Jr., CPA

Dick is a partner in the firm and has been in public accounting since 1978.  He graduated from Indiana University in 1976 with a Bachelors degree in Accounting and lives in Anderson with his wife, Cindy.

Dick has served on various for-profit and nonprofit boards of directors, and his professional focus has been in the area of small business start-up companies, business strategy, accounting systems, taxation, planning and personal income taxation.

Jane Hadley, EA

Jane is an Enrolled Agent who began her public accounting and tax career in Boone County in 1983.  She has been with SPH since September 2002.  She graduated cum laude from Western International University in Phoenix, Arizona with a Bachelors degree in accounting in 1999.  Jane lives in Middletown, IN and is the proud grandmother of three.  She is a member of the National Enrolled Agents, the Indiana CPA Society, and has participated in volunteer work for many civic and charitable organizations.  These organizations most recently include the Madison County A.S.P.C.A. Humane Society and the Anderson Kennel Club.  Jane’s professional focus has been primarily in the area of business and nonprofit financial reporting and taxation as well as personal income taxation.

Richard E. Hueston, CPA

Rick is a partner in the firm and has been a certified public accountant since 1992.  He began his career in South Bend, IN, in 1989 where he was employed by a large regional CPA firm.  He is a graduate of Anderson University with a Bachelors degree in Accounting and lives in Anderson with his wife, Beth and three children, Drew, Allie and Dane.

He as served on several local boards in the community and has been active in his profession by serving as President of the Muncie Chapter of the Indiana CPA Society.  Rick’s professional focus has been in the area of small business start-ups and consulting, financial reporting, and tax planning and preparation.
